1. History and Development of the „Chervena Zvezda“ Factory

The „Chervena Zvezda“ factory was founded in the 1950s in Debelets. Its creation was part of the national industrialization effort aimed at expanding heavy machinery production.

The factory specialized in metalworking, heavy steel structures, industrial machinery, and spare parts, exporting goods across Eastern Europe.

2. Social Impact and Community Technical Clubs

As the largest employer in the region, the factory provided jobs for 1,200 to 2,000 workers. Organized shuttle routes brought employees from surrounding towns and villages daily.

The facility housed extensive social infrastructure, including technical training workshops, sports teams, and cultural initiatives.

With strong technical support and machinery available on-site, the LZ2KDC radio club fostered active HF operating and hardware engineering among local youth and factory personnel.
