LZ2KVK – Radio Club Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport
The initials were chosen in memory of Viktor Krastev LZ1VK – who died as an on-board radio operator.
The radio operators at the airport regularly participate in the life of the city radio club as speed telegraphy competitors, as Morse code teachers.
We should mention Petko Petkov “5ko” radio telegraphy teacher and operator of LZ2KAF.
Strahil Bogoev LZ1BA – designer and responsible for LZ2KAF – 1955-1957.
During the club’s existence, active operators of LZ2KVK were LZ2MB, LZ2DO, LZ4FG and other radio amateurs without personal initials.
