Address to visitors to the “Blue Blood” website

Dear friends and fans of the site “Blue Blood”,

A few months ago, all sites in the galanto.com domain were seriously hacked. I managed to make an up-to-date archive, but it turned out that the penetration was at a very deep level – even the photos were transformed into executable files disguised as photos.

I will have to review each file individually and thoroughly before uploading it back to the site.

This will take a lot of time and effort. I am not sure if I will be able to restore everything, so my request is that you be patient and tolerant.

One of the things that I will not be able to restore adequately are the comments made by you to some articles. Please do not take this as an interference with freedom of speech – there is simply no way for me to restore them on behalf of those who made them, even if I find the texts somewhere in the archive. But I am sure that the notes that were made and that Stefan and I could remove have been reflected in the content in a timely manner. That is, if you have any notes for us, you can safely make them in new comments and we will take them into account.

I do not know what these hacking actions are due to. Some kind of mystery. And as an acquaintance of mine used to say: “I am not paid to solve mysteries”, i.e. I do not intend to waste my time on this – I prefer to concentrate my energy and time on restoring and maintaining the site, for which no one pays me either, but I hope it will be for the benefit of amateur radio in general and “blue-blooded” amateur radio in particular.

I had taken quite serious security measures before, but they were clearly insufficient. Now I will increase them, the software is also new, I hope we will be able to protect our work from other similar interventions.

For objective reasons, I am moving the site to my blog, without excluding any of the collected information. I will be happy to receive comments that will supplement it.

Thanks to Stefan (LZ2DB, SK) for the serious work and support with reliable and unique information! May his path be bright!
